Raynaud's phenomenon is a problem that causes decreased blood flow to the fingers. In some cases, it also causes less blood flow to the ears, toes, nipples, knees, or nose. This happens due to spasms of blood vessels in those areas. The spasms happen in response to cold, stress, or emotional upset. www.hopkinsmedicine.org
Awhile back, October 13th of last year if you care to peruse the archives, I posted information about Raynaud’s Syndrome. Thanks to my partner who could not bear my whining about very cold hands, I now have two hand warmers of different varieties. The first to arrive was “kuidada” which I believe is an attention-getting, different spelling for the Spanish admonition “Careful!” And, sure enough, kuidada can get beyond toasty as in too hot to touch. I have learned how to turn it off while in my pocket to avoid scalding. A feature of uncertain necessity is that the outer edge of the warmer can be made to shine through an array of rainbow colors. I would recommend this hand-held appliance along with cuidada or “Be Careful!
The second hand warmer arrived several days ago. A somewhat smaller device, better for those delicate female hands, is LAMIGA with a dear, little byline ‘caught the winter sun’. Miga in Spanish means crumb. I’m not sure that The Crumb was their marketing goal.
As you can see, there’s a white button that turns the device on or off. There’s also three red lights when power is full, lights that fade one by one with use, then three blue lights announce time to recharge.
So far so good. There’s a jolly explanation of its use:
The product can be used to warm hands, feet, belly, waist, knees and other place under more lower environment temperature. Thermal compress the related positions also can be allaying tiredness, reduce waist and back pain, especially suitable to old people, children and office staffs use. This product also can be used as mobile power supply, convenience, light and easy. User’s Manual
I believe you’ve got it! But there is important info in the User’s Manual, not to be ignored!
Strictly forbid to open the hands warm appliance personally, strictly forbid to cut up, disassemble, rebuild or use metal impale this product personally.
Strictly forbid to place this product under heat source of flame, forbid to throw into fire or water, avoid to storage under direct sunshine , please storage under environment temperature 32-113 F.
…and then there’s Operating Methods that you probably should ignore.
What? Well, despite the confusion that overflows along with comedy, I would recommend LAMIGA for your winter walks.
